Job Summary:
The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the organization's cloud computing infrastructure. This role involves leading a team of cloud engineers and administrators, ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of cloud resources, and implementing best practices for cloud operations. The Cloud Operations Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and software development, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and lead a team of cloud engineers and administrators, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's cloud computing infrastructure.
3. Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of cloud resources, including servers, storage, networks, and applications.
4. Implement and maintain cloud security measures, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
5. Collaborate with IT and software development teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions and services.
6. Monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance.
7. Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud-based systems.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Implement and enforce cloud governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
10. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage and optimize cloud service agreements and contracts.
11. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting activities related to cloud operations.
12. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on cloud operations performance and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (5+ years) in managing and overseeing cloud computing operations.
3. Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
4. In-depth understanding of cloud architecture, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) models.
5. Proficient in cloud management tools and technologies, including virtualization, containerization, and orchestration.
6. Solid understanding of cloud security principles and practices, including data protection, identity and access management, and compliance.
7. Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
10. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Professional certifications in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
